Patient Instructions & Colonoscopy Prep Video

This information is intended for U.S. residents only.

A colonoscopy is a routine, generally safe, pain–free procedure used to examine the colon. To ensure the effectiveness and safety of the procedure, there are several steps that you must take during your colonoscopy prep with MoviPrep.

  • Make arrangements to have someone drive you home after the procedure
    -  Colonoscopy involves sedation, and you will not be allowed
        to leave by yourself
  • Follow your doctor's instructions regarding medicines to avoid and diet to follow before your procedure
  • Finish the entire bowel prep regimen
  • Make a conscious effort to drink as much clear liquid as possible before, during, and after the colon prep

The Colonoscopy

Two Flexible Dosing Methods

Unlike other PEG bowel preparations, MoviPrep can be taken as an evening–before dose or a split dose.

For the evening–before regimen, all of the MoviPrep bowel prep solution is taken the night before the colonoscopy procedure. For the split–dose regimen, the MoviPrep bowel prep solution is divided equally between the night before the colonoscopy and the morning of the procedure.

Regardless of which bowel preparation dosing method you and your doctor choose, it is important to follow your doctor's instructions regarding MoviPrep or any other prescription medications.
